About Me

Excerpt from The Road Not Taken

“I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”  ~ Robert Frost

I love this poem!  It comes close to describing me … I don’t follow the crowd in general, and specifically, it’s not often I follow a crochet pattern exactly.
It’s for this reason I decided it was time to start writing down my patterns and sharing them with others.  I began making up patterns for things many years ago, but they were always one-offs and rarely did I write them out.

Lately I’ve not been able to find patterns that suit my taste though I do love many patterns that are now available!  I don’t have a clue how to describe my style, but I’m sure I’d find it on a road less traveled – a little bit hippy with an old-fashioned, slightly feminine flavour.  … sigh

I’m Sandie, a 45-year-old mother of two teenagers.  I have a chubby hubby and a crazily lovable dog.  We live in Ontario, in the country in a cozy wee home.  I’ve been crocheting for about 35 years plus, and am a huge fan of lace and thread.

Looking forward to making a difference, or at least making things different, down this new-to-me road.
